HOW A PRIVATE TOUR COMES TOGETHER

From your message to the map I send after.

Maybe you’re riding with kids, or parents, or friends who pedal at different speeds. Maybe you’d rather hear it in French or Spanish. Maybe you just don’t want to share the afternoon with strangers. This isn’t a bigger version of the open ride — it’s a tour with no one on it but your group, and a route built around what you actually want to see.

01 · You tell me

You book online and tell me three things: how many of you, which language, and what you’re drawn to — food, history, family-friendly, or a bit of everything. I write back within twelve hours.

02 · I shape the route

I draw the afternoon around your focus and your pace — more stops for kids, more ground for confident riders, a slower roll if that’s what you want.

03 · The meeting

We meet at Calle de los Jardines 12, at 15:00. I fit each bike, sort helmets and any child seats, and we talk the route through before we roll. Just your group.

04 · the local map

Three hours at your pace, in your language. Before we part I tell you the places worth your own time, and the next morning I send them in writing.

Every stage shaped around your group — nothing off a shelf.

THE ROUTE

You choose the focus — I build the morning around it.

A private tour has no fixed stop list, because it isn’t fixed. You tell me what you came for, and I shape the route around it. Three ways people usually start:

Family-friendly

Shorter distances, more stops, child seats for the little ones, and a pace set by the youngest rider. Built for families who want to see the city together.

Art & history

The Madrid behind the façades — palaces, plazas, and the corners where the city’s story turns. We read it from the street, not inside the monuments: the why, not the ticket queue.

A bit of everything

Not sure yet? Most groups aren’t. We mix a little of each and adjust as the afternoon goes — that’s the point of going private.

An open tour shows you my route. A private one shows you yours.

WHAT TRAVELERS WROTE

Their words, not mine.

“Yves was a phenomenal guide! He was so caring and did everything to make sure all of our equipment was working properly… when asked for suggestions on routes… he gave us really good advice. We would highly recommend Yves and plan to see him again for another private tour.”

— Alison

GOOD TO KNOW

The questions, before you ask them.

You book and pay online, then tell me your group size, your language, and what you’d like to focus on — by email at [email protected] or WhatsApp at +34 625 795 526. I write back within twelve hours to shape the route. The afternoon is yours — your pace, your stops.

Yes. I grew up between Madrid, Algiers, and Casablanca, so English, French, and Spanish all feel native.

From four riders up to eight, you book straight here — €30 per rider beyond the first four. More than eight in your group? Write to [email protected] and I’ll arrange it.

Yes — this is where private works best. I adapt the distance, the pace, and the number of stops, and there are child seats for the little ones. Helmets are mandatory under 18 and there for everyone.

That’s the whole idea. Tell me food, history, family-friendly, or a bit of everything, and I build the afternoon around it. Entry to monuments, churches, and museums isn’t included — every tour stays outdoors, in the streets and plazas.

If you want your own group, your own language, or a pace set around kids or family, go private. If you’re one or two travellers happy to ride in English with a small group, the open ride covers it. Either way, you get the same guide.

Madrid rarely rains for long, and if it does, I bring ponchos — we ride through it. If you need to cancel, it’s free up to 24 hours before the tour starts: full refund, minus the payment processing fee (the card processor takes that when you book and doesn’t return it to me — usually 2-3% of the total). Less than 24 hours before, or a no-show, and there’s no refund.

Didn’t see your question? Just message me — I usually reply within 12 h — usually sooner.
